Volunteering is a great way to get involved in our community while helping others.
At Suburban Hospice, we believe hope, love, and connection are powerful forms of care—and as a volunteer, you help bring them to life. Your time, presence, and compassion offer so much more than support—you bring comfort, dignity, and genuine humanity to patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.
Being a volunteer here isn’t just giving—it’s receiving. You’ll walk away with powerful stories, deep connections, and the reward of knowing you made someone feel seen, valued, and cared for. Every act of kindness—big or small—truly matters.
We care for patients in homes, nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and local hospitals, and we need volunteers just like you to help in so many meaningful ways:
Patient Support – Reading, writing letters, sharing music, companionship, light chores, errands, even walking a beloved pet.
Office Support – Helping behind the scenes with calls, filing, mailings, special event prep, and more.
Our values are rooted in honesty, respect, commitment, community, and honoring every stage of life. If you're looking for a rewarding way to give back, this is it.
Join our team of caring hearts and help us make a lasting difference—one visit, one smile, one moment at a time.
Katherine Murray is our Director of Support Services.
